Hi All,  Where can I find any drivers for my Lesmark printers,  Z65, and/or X74 all in one. And don't say Lexmark, as I don't think I will live long enough to await a reply.  4 months at the moment! Les

You could look on Driver Guide

User name: driver

Password: all

I posted on this forum because Mandrake 10 does not support any of my printers currently using Lexmark X74 and Z65

There are two types of Lexmark printer, those which have Linux drivers available from the Lexmark site, and those which are not even good paperweights under Linux. (They are unbelievably light-weight)

Following my brief experience of Lexmark printers, my main advice (applies to Windoze users as well) is AVOID!!!

As said above about avoiding Lexmark printers also avoid Canon scanners.

Unless the Canon scanner in question is a LiDE20 which runs as a Plustek, gives good results and is 100% Linux Compatible...

What I was saying about Lexmark relates also to the quality of the printers. The heads clog up if you don't use them, mine just flooded one day, and I got the impression that a draught would blow it off the shelf. That was about the time that I was initially switching to Linux, and I thought it was rubbish then! Never Again!

I gave my LiDe 20 to my neice when I brought a LiDe50.
Big mistake as I had the 20 working well.
My own fault for not checking the compatability of it before I brought it

Don't know how long you will have to wait, but the guys at the Sane project are attempting to write a Canon driver.
