....so while i was at the last WOASE show i found that
copy of PFS3 i was after. So then, after rushing home to install it i was rather miffed to find it would'nt install,
" can't find PFS2 on your system" or something like it the
requester said, "whats this" i thought is it just an upgrade?.
I read in AA issue 1 that it can be installed over PFS2 OR can
be used to install directly over FFS-- but it won't let me...
also i can't seem to find any info on where to get PFS2 should
i need to.
has anyone got any ideas?.

If I remember right it has something to do with the "PROFESSIONAL FILING SYSTEM". PFS3 ( is less likely to be the version number ). PFS3 is probably the dosdriver file for this filing system referring to physical drive number 4. dosdriver files were introduced from Workbench2.0 or 2.1 onwards. 1st drive is 0, 2nd is 1 and so on as in df0: df1: dh0: dh1:etc If you have a disk that is asking for PFS3: it is likely that you dont have a 4th floppy disc drive attached. One way around this is to edit the startup-sequence of the disc. If you don't know what/how to do this then send me an email at noooojohn007@aol.com or if you want want other AMIGA help with WORKBENCH etc. Hope this helps.
