My father has (for his sins) a HP 7925 to which he is trying to connect a JVC Digital video GR-DVP7EK. Which will be used to transfer Video to DVD. Anyone know a good /suitable DVD+/- writer. To check what hardware would be required he first tried HP themselves, who advised him to buy their stand-alone unit (although I believe the 7925 does not have USB2 so will be tediously slow at transfering data); then PC world advised that he purchase a Radeon 9800pro card (overkill?). To be honest i'm a little out of my depth here, could anybody give me some suggestions? The budget is £250 (for DVD writer and other hardware needed) Below is the spec of the camera.
