I have been dabbling with Linux for a while now, haven't really enjoyed it much apart from Corel Linux. I downloaded SME (formerly E-Smith) and had a go with that - can thoroughly recommend it. Adrian, if you are looking for an OS to use as a home / play server you could do much worse, is currently on version 6.

Performance is superior to NT4, running on a PII 266 with 320 MB ram. I have an IMAP server (never used one before, not too bad), file server, web server, Domain controller and can also use as a caching proxy, DNS, DHCP, firewall and gateway, and all this is straight out of the box. Oh and also has support for automatic tape backups too.

So until I get more experienced with Linux (I recently out it on a laptop) I will be sticking with this.

Despite what people say Linux *is* user friendly, it's just choosy over who it's friends are.
