Hmm, this folding malrkey has strange a strange effect - It motivated me to build today ... After rooting around "the boxes full of PC bits under the table" this afternoon I managed to build another PC to help our folding efforts. Details under "Rig #2" in my sig below. And that's not all... I only need a couple of bits (primarily a hard-drive - i found 3 faulty ones in my search earlier today ) and I'll have Rig #3 ready soon: P4 @ 2.5GHz, 512MB RAM. Hopefully both will be folding away from next weekend. O, and even the 'ickle P4 400 (MP3 box) is nibbling away at a Tinker as I type. Bless it!

Hmm, this folding malrkey has strange a strange effect - It motivated me to build today Know what you mean having discovered in another post that large cores only available to P4 rigs I was tempted to get one just for Folding !! WTF spend lots of bucks just to get up the league table. I will do as you check the box and just get what I need for fifth rig and get all networked over Xmas. BTW how you got so many goodies in the box are you PC-WORLD ( Hack-spit) sorry for swearing. Cheers Chris

Lol, Spike, no I'm not PC-World. It's just that over the years, despite selling-on a lot of stuff I've finished with, I've still managed to accumulate a fair-few bits and pieces. Mostly stuff I've picked-up 2nd hand some time ago that is now wothless or unsellable. Here are a few examples of what I saw in the boxes: pre-release engineering sample Abit BG7 motherboard (will be in rig #3) CUSL2 modified to run Tualatin CPUs (rig #4 maybe?) bare slot1 motherboards with no accessories/cables/instructions engineering sample P4 CPU (in rig #2) vidpin-modded P4 1.8 @ 2.5 (for rig #3) older CPUs including Tualatin Celeron 1200 @ 1600 (for rig #4?), PIII700 capable of 1050, Celeron 600 capable of 900, PII 300 capable of 450, etc, etc even a Cyrix P200! Geforce 256 32MB 3dfx voodoo 1 4MB!!! Geforce 2 GTS 64MB numerous hacked cases lot's of (dead) hard drives O, and loads of fans! Also have a P4 Prescott that's happy at 3.9GHz and a spare Pentium M 730 (like the one in my main rig) but I really need to sell them on at some point. Too much stuff, embarrasing really.
