| If you're using Windows XP and like me you decided to try the FAH***-console.exe program first before running it as a service; there is a way to do it later. I have made a compiled batch file to do it automatically for you. If you are interested at all you can download it here!

No it will not work on a pre-XP OS. The service creation process does write to the Windows registry, therefore any registry monitoring program should flag that fact.
The service created also will only use the default -svcstart switch, any others will need to be added manually. To do so open the registry editor and navigate to the following key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FAHsvc and make your change to the value data under the value name ImagePath
It is a standard Windows NT Command Script which I have compiled to both protect the code, (more from abuse, than prying eyes), and to prevent a Windows NT Command, (DOS), Window flashing up during the creation process.
One word of warning, the process which hides the DOS window can be seen as malware by some antivirus applications. It is not but please decide for yourself as you see fit.
