Thanks for the info...spike09

  • The first unit I worked on was worth the equivalent of 68.5 points per 24 hrs
  • The second unit scored me the equivalent of 173.5 points over the same period
  • My current unit although worth 868 points will only work out at around 155 points per 24 hrs

Two observations,

  1. What is the full criteria for specific WU assignments
  2. Due to the differences and the fact that you don't pick and choose your own WUs surely personal competitions become even more of a waste of time...

Cheers spike,
Thought this only applied to the console version, DOH!

CaptainCAD,
I'm going to use the console client after the present WU is completed, and use your little program to set it to run as a service,
wish me luck,
Happy to see you aboard,
Merry Xmas

It is possible to go here: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html and look up the project you are working on. Although this is a slower method it is useful for those who dont have the software installed.

Captain, in response to your ob servations:

1. Most modernish PCs will meet the criteria for all (bar one, more on that later) types of WU. Using the appropriate flags to force certain parameters will help you get the best type (see the stickyfied guide). The only exception are WUs based on the QMD core. These WUs are currently only available to Pentium4 owners who enable the "-advmethods" and selected large WUs.

2. There is some luck involved, but it should be the same for everybody so will average out.
