hello
ive installed FAH on my server (dual P3). I presume the FAH client is only using one CPU. I believe that i can run two instances, one configured for each CPU. But i cant remember how. I remember seeing a post about this, something to do with installing to multiple directories, which i tried, and it didnt like!
How can i do this?
thanks

You need to install the console client into two different directories. And set each one with a different machine id. eg. x:/Directory/Folding@Home 1/ with machineid=x + x:/Directory/Folding@Home 2/ with machineid=y I dont know about this completely but I believe you can set affinity in the task manager. (Caught a glimpse of it on bros pc). I believe using this you can assign each process to a different cpu/core. Alternatively you could visit here - http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=231247 and see if they have a package suitable for your system. I believe that this is a "One Click Install" However the executable may be out of date. If this is the case you can go to stanford and download the new one to replace the older one. Good luck and happy folding

Install in two diferent directories as FM says. Then from a command prompt fire each one up with -local -configonly. Answer all the questions as usual making sure they have different IDs.
Now go to Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services. You will see two F@H services listed, one for each directory. They will be set to start automatically, but won't be running yet. Right click on each one and start them. I create a shortcut to Services on my desktop so I can pause them if I want.
On my HTT P4 they are assigned different cores automatically. I think this will be the same with dual CPUs. Easy to check in Task Manager, both CPUs should be going flat out.
I use FAHMon to see whats going on. If you want to monitor from another machine, share out the folders. Then point FAHMon on the other PC at the relevant share.
