Scott16 I still have my Amiga 600 but I don't use it, but I keep for the nostalgia and the rare occasion of playing games on it in "real" format.

However, I now use WinUAE (an Amiga emulator) to play my Amiga games as its a lot less hassle to break out the old A600 and play them on that. (Anyway all my joysticks are broken) It's a fantastic program once you get to grips with it and the difference between that and a real Amiga is negligible. Also you have the beauty of swapping your A600 to an A1200 at the click of a button, something I would have given my left arm for at the time!!!! Believe me its well worth checking out!!

See here:

http://www.winuae.net/

I'm not entirely sure what else other people would be using there's for but there must be people other than me that can still have a use for an Amiga even in this day and age!!!

Come on guys and gals let us know who you are!!

I have an Amiga A500 but all it does is sit on a shelf

But I do use the Linux version of the UAE emulator to play games

Who needs Doom III? Good old Golden Axe and Rockstar Ate My Hampster can keep me occupied for much longer!

I still use my Amiga A1200 with for use with a Miracle Piano Teaching system (bought the Miracle second hand from a cash converters type shop for just £20).

My Amiga used to be my main computer for wordprocessing, WWW (external 33.6kbps modem connecting to Demon Internet), e-mail, games etc. until November 2001 when I had to get a Windows XP PC to do an HND Computing course. Fortunately I missed out on the joys of Windows 3.1/95/98/98SE/ME and think XP is actually an OK operating system.

At the moment my Amiga is tucked away on a TV/Video stand a few inches above the floor so isn't conveniently placed to use. I would use my Amiga a lot more if I had more bench space to have it set up properly.

Ciao,

I used to have Amiga 600 / 1200

These I used for Video Titling / Animation / Paint / Word Proccessing / Database / Games / Keeping track of my bank balance / GB Route (as in PC Autoroot)

Have a gander on the below link (may help?)

What I`d like to do with my Amiga and what I do do with my Amiga 1200/030 are two different things.

I`d really like to network it with the PC via the Siamese System, but I`m beggard if I can find one anywhere. So the old 1200 just sits in a box in the spare room doin a Yosser Hughes. "Gizzajob"

'E' is for Ethernet. Used for catching Etherbunnies, Etherfish or Etherbutterflies.

No wonder there`s so much poop on my PC these days.
