I've found a bunch of "Classic" Amiga software which I've put up for auction on eBay in the following headings:

computing/vintage computing: (Then do a search for Amiga, or you'll get completely lost!)

video games/vintage & retro gaming/Commodore/Commodore Amiga/games: (Then do a search for Amiga or you'll get lost. For some reason there isn't a place to put auctions for nongaming software  )

Some of the stuff I'm selling is: Final Writer5, Final CopyII, Final Data, Final Calc, ZeeWolf2, Genetic Species, Cinema4D2, PersonalPaint7.1, Pagesetter3, Foundation and more . . .

BTW, all the stuff has been in my attic for the past 8 years (albeit in a locked disk case in a covered plastic storage box) and I have no Amiga to test the floppy disks on. However, if they don't work, send them right back to me for a refund.

Anyway, if you want, go get. Hope this doesn't intrude on the altruism of the forums members! :)

Great Series of Articles on History of Amiga

I never had an Amiga but always wanted one :) Reading this has tempted me to get the AROS emulator and check it out!

Anyway here's part 7 of the series.

Save Amiga Mart!

I was saddened to read that Amiga Mart is to end in issue 1,000. While I appreciate that, given the shambles that is the Amiga market at the moment and given the niche nature of that market, it must be hard for Sven to find things to write about week after week, I think Micro Mart will suffer if Sven's contibutions disappear altogether.

Would it not be possible to rebrand Sven's section as Alternative Mart (or something snappier), a section that looks not only at Amigas but other platforms, too? Platforms such as the Atari ST, and maybe some really retro systems (not the games machines covered by Retro Mart). I guess it depends on Sven and his wider knowledge.

Just a thought.

CU AMIGA

Rooting through the loft I have found two c/disks for the Amiga:
1."Personal Paint 6.6"
2."Trapped 3"
both from CU AMIGA... anybody want them?(I can't be bothered to flog em!)

Sick of hearing "Still Alive" yet?

Here's the Amiga twist on Still Alive. It is now possible to benefit of all the features of this new AmigaOS release, an operating system famous for its efficiency and small footprint.

AmigaOS 4.0, thanks to its power and optimization, succeeds in using at the maximum even systems running at 160Mhz, allowing the multimedia performances and the usability everyone expects from AmigaOS.

The interest expressed towards this new AmigaOS version is so high that, actually, orders are twice than expected. This shows that the Amiga community is still strong and that it enjoys and support the efforts made by Hyperion Entertainment VOF and ACube Systems Srl to develop and promote concrete and powerful products.

It's possible to order AmigaOS 4.0 for "Classic" Amigas directly from ACube Systems or from a reseller listed on page
http://www.acube-systems.com/resellers

http://www.acube-systems.com/resellers/images/os4_1.jpg
http://www.acube-systems.com/resellers/images/os4_2.jpg:D

PPC board

After reading this weeks Micromart's ( issue 964) Amiga section I realised I might just be sitting on a small fortune (relatively speaking) as I've a Blizzard PPC accellorator (a 25MHz 68040 and a 240MHz 603e PPC chip with 32MB of RAM, I think, it's been a few years since I poked around in the thing) and just possibly a Blizzard Vision graphics card (well... it's fitted with a dedicated graphics card anyway) both of which worked the last time I used it.

I didn't think it was worth much, to be honest though I don't like throwing anything away that still works (which means that I've still got four Amigas - A500, CD32 and 2 A1200's one of which is in a tower, a Viper 5 50MHz 68030 with a 50MHz FPU chip plus an SX-1 expansion module for my CD32, with a 6MB memory expansion and a CDTV keyboard for it as well). I think I once counted there to be around 700 but I can't be sure. They are mainly copies (they came with the A1200 when I bought it so I don't really know what's on most of them), but there are also quite a few boxed games too.

The Amigas aren't in brilliant condition, the A500 has yellowing on the keyboard and the A1200 has a crack on the front under the keyboard. (The A1200 has a 250MB hard drive too).

Can anyone tell me what kind of price I should be asking for this, bearing in mind that the buyer would have to collect from Coalville in Leicestershire, as I don't have a box big enough to post this lot!

Thanks,
Andrew

PS any offers will be considered ;)

Free floppies for amiga VER 3.0

Hi guys, I have been clearing out some old comp stuff and came across some floppy's
for AMIGA Commodore there are six in all but i have no idea where they came from and
no idea what they contain if anything, my PC wont read them so i don't know if they are
any good or not they are VER 3.0 if anybody wants them they can have them for free just pm me with a postal address and they are yours first come first serve.
Andy.
Creating ROMs?

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question or not but, gray legal areas aside, does anybody know how I can create ROM images of my Amiga software?

Just let me point out though that this is neither for reasons of piracy or commercial gain.

I've got a much loved A500+ that still works and about 300 or so games/apps for it all stored on floppy. everything still works great, but for how long? We had been given assurances by a few organisations that they would attend, or at least their products would be there but due to a lack of communications with them I have made the decision the show would not be viable.

Anyone who has purchased tickets will be getting a full refund in the next few days and if anyone has made any bookings that will leave them out of pocket please do contact me. I will do my best to try and compensate.

Many thanks to those who did pre-book tickets, both visitors and exhibitors, and thanks to those who contacted me over the past couple of weeks.

Further more I (Ryu) will be taking a step back from the scene for the foreseeable future, I will keep IntuitionBase.com online and will update it from time to time but I won’t be sinking much effort into it. The Scunthorpe Amiga Group will remain but no meetings are planned, and I won’t make any more plans until things pick up again.

Thanks to all those who have supported me over the years, I hope to keep in touch with you all!

Adios and thanks for all the fish"
