My mum brought home an A500+ pack to test (Seeboard were dabbling in selling computers at the time, Late 1980's) and I loaded it up on diskette at 6pm. When I finished I wondered why the house was so cold and when I went downstairs to find a clock I realised it was 3am!! :w00t:

A close second has to be Populous, though. Earth quakes were grrreeaat!!

RE: What's your favourite Amiga game?

Well, I was always fond of the Monkey Island adventure games on my A1200 with a hard drive but strange as it sounds for some odd reason I would say Moonstone. Not quite sure why, but it is always the first thing i try if i get an emulator up and running. Some of those beasts you had to kill were quite wonderful and all the blood was amusing. I also loved the intro.
Mainly though I used the amiga to try to make my own games using AMOS,that was probably the best fun of all!

RE: What's your favourite Amiga game?

There are too many Amiga games I loved to mention one that was my favourite. However, if you think about it logically, the game I spent most time playing would have to be my favourite, and that is Frontier: Elite 2. I loved that game so much...

Other fave's include Civilization/Colonization, Dune 2000, Chaos Engine, F/A-18 Interceptor (I was always called Maverick :P), Cannon Fodder (War, it's never been so much fun!), Sensible Soccor... god there was so many good games!

Edit: Oh, and how can I forget Valhalla? (It's a carnivore!)

RE: What's your favourite Amiga game?

Speedball II ...Brutal Delux!!!!!

I loved Pinball Dreams loads

and I spent more time watching the intro to Blood Money than I did playing it!

RE: What's your favourite Amiga game?

I remember Cannon Fodder and the Settlers =D
Amazing games.

RE: What's your favourite Amiga game?

Had an A500 for a while but loved my 1200 with Hard Drive. Spent a seriously unhealthy amount of time playing games, favorites include :-

The Settlers

Dune II

Indy 500

Formula One

Pinball Dreams (Nightmare Table)

Cannon Fodder

Speedball II

Stunt Car Racer

Syndicate

and many others I've forgotten about. Well, that or Gunship 2000 anyway.

Although, as we all know, there were many excellent games for the platform... Sensible Soccer anyone? Cannon Fodder. UFO Enemy Unknown. Warzone. etc etc etc

RE: What's your favourite Amiga game?

Awww gotta be Cannon Fodder was first class. It's a classic and just so addictive! It's frighteningly scary that you can spend 4 hours on this game and it feels like only 30 mins has past!

Everything about it I just loved (and still do)! The music was original, the graphics were colourful and cute, the animation was absolutely amazing and I'd sit there for ages just watching them build a woodcutter or plough a field! The sound effects were a very nice touch too and I don't know of any other game with sound effects like them!

I really could go on for hours, days, even decades about The Settlers but I won't, I can't, I'm too busy playing it on my Amiga! :D

What's your favourite Amiga game?

Here's another one for you...

What's your favourite game on the Amiga?
