Ok first of all dont make out i have a forged copy of OS4, maybe YOU use limewire for dubious purposes i dont.

Second for your info i emigrated from the UK to Canada and i imported OS4 from the uk cost me 50 uk pounds to ship it here.

My intention is to find an amiga here in Canada via ebay or some other means, all i was asking was is there an emulator to run os4 under windows.

It seems not.

How can you have AmigaOS4? Was limewire your friend?

The only hardware that'll run Os4 is an Amiga.. or a Mac Mini... if you can source that version of os4

As I`ve said before the only way to keep the Amiga alive is to make an open source Amiga OS for the PC.

It could be an alternative to Linux or it could be built upon a Linux core ether way it would take Amiga out of the hands of feckless company's that will take it no ware and back in to the hands of the enthusiasts.

watch this suggestion go noware sigh...

I think the Amiga realistically died a few years ago, at least.

The release of Windows 95 (and subsequent OS') rang the end of the Amiga.

All the current attempts at "reviving" are falling through, or are taking too long (as can be seen from Sven's excellent Amiga Mart columns). Also, it's more of an enthusiast base keeping it alive, but one that's maybe too small to herald a return.

I have a 1200 tower system with an accelerator card. it's connected to my home network, but I rarely use it these days, I use Linux at home.
It is probably going to eBay soon.
I am reluctant to part with it because it was my first internet connected computer, has loads of old emails and IRC logs.

But yes, I would say that sadly, Amiga is in an advanced state of dying if not dead. :(

i ask that question as i don't ever see Amiga making a return to the mainstream market but remaining as a hobbyist format so half dead half alive.
