Somtimes the chip itself is the fault and a flash of its boot block will not fix problem. The cheapest I have found is $10 plus post from US. Any good source of new or used 1 and 2 meg IC's would be appreciated.

BIOS flashing

Get a freebie ad into the mag classifieds pronto!

BIOS flashing

Nice one M8!!

ATB
SteveH

BIOS flashing

If anyone needs a bios chip flashed then I will quite probobly be able to help. I have setup a system at home in which I can flash 1 and 2meg chips that you might have thought were done for. This is because I can flash the boot block of the chip which most flash programs do not do! So dont bin that dead mobo just yet, even if it wont post at all I might be able to help. I'm not trying to make a lot of cash here, just literally £2-3 quid, I'm more interested stopping big business makeing too much money being a lefty n all email or PM me!
