Firefox 3.0, with 'Ask Me Everytime' then unchecked 'accept third party cookies' so that it asks me in building up its library of OK sites. After that learning process it's very fast. :)
Mind you, I prefer the Ubuntu version, with useful 'Print to PDF' capabilty. ;)

I have used firefox since version 0.9 now using FF3. very fast and no problems. I also like Opera 9.5
I'm trying out flock at the minute and quite like that as well.
I also use ie 6 & 7 plus safari among others for site testing.

Overall I've found that ff3 and opera suit the way I surf best.
With FF3 I use downthemall, Downloadhelper and fireftp addons and usually have the tor button as well but that isn't in ff3 yet

Best advice for anyone looking for a new browser is to try out a few and pick the one that works best for you.

after having a bit of a play around on my laptop I've gotten to rather like Opera 9.5 and I'll probably use it more often than Firefox, otherwise it's IE.

K-Ninja without a shadow of a doubt, followed by Netscape, K-Meleon, Konqueror and Internet Explorer.

I hate Firefox, and Flock.

I use Firefox 3 with NoScript, but admire Opera 9.5, Flock 2 and Konqueror. The things that interest me are W3C standards-compliance and speed (like in [url=http://links.sourceforge.net/]Links2[/url]). There are some good general sites to introduce users to other browsers. [url=http://browsehappy.com/]BrowseHappy[/url] and [url=http://www.favbrowser.com/]FavBrowser[/url].

I like Konqueror but mainly use FF2 in Gnome linux and a mixture of Opera and FF3 on windows machines.

Well, I use FF at home and work, (2 @ the mo) with ad-ons adblockplus, noscript (I am fairly certain this makes FF the most secure browser out there?), tor button (although that one is rarely used), and a couple of others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Whoever said FF is slower than IE must be joking! If you install loads of add-ons, then yes, it could well be, but otherwise, no chance!

I have used Opera, and I like it, but it isn't anywhere near as customisable as FF.

I also use IE at wrok as there are a couple of internal software items I need to use that have issues in FF (mainly due to incompetent coding by Uni staff) and IE seems to work better with them (now THAT was a surprise). Conversely, there are 2 progs that just don't work properly in IE, and I have to keep hitting refresh both here in the forums, and in another Uni prog, in order to see any new stuff. For some reason this browser just doesn't update...

Opera 9.27ish and IE7 when webites ask me to install a firefox plugin. If it isn't IE, it must be fiefox ... mustn't it?

Gotta be FF3.
With Add-ons:
*NoScript
*AdBlock Plus
*TorButton
*BugMeNot
*Fox Marks

Why?
Because I can use this browser in both windows and linux and seamlessly use all my setting/bookmarks/passwords between the both operating systems and accross the network.

Firefox 3, with DownThemAll (DTA) Download manager, IE Tabs and AdBlockPlus.

EDIT: Quite interesting to see that a couple of people are using older, less secure browsers.

I have tried all different types including firefox, opera, seamonkey etc..., but I keep going back to IE as it does the job. I find firefox so slow, opera I really like but there something missing.

So for now its IE version 6, do not like version 7.

Opera 9.5 would be my weapon of choice.

It is much faster in operation than Internet explorer and has a nice simple user interface.

Well as i can not add a poll ill have to ask u to post what u think is the best browser. im just wondering what most people use because people seem to be locked in a war between which browser u should and souldnt use

i would also like to here the thoughts of people when it comes to there browsers and also why it is better than any other one

It would be nice to here of thoses exsotic browsers which are less used
