Got miffed off and bought an ASUS A7N8X...and solved all my problems!! Unfortunately....the BIOS is a little strange(After my ABIT), and seems very poor for overclocking. I will keep at it though!

There is no such setting as CAS 1.5!

You can run memory underclocked without problems.
Just make sure your mbrd can support the module Mb size & chip numbers

Speaking of O/Cing a Ti4200... I've got an Albatron 128MB DDR Medusa Ti4200P Turbo, when you overclock it you get 3dMark 2001 SE score to rival a Ti4600 never mind a Ti4400! Very overclockable card and well worth the money I paid for it!

I have dropped my prices...I am asking £50 for both (now to matching CAS latency sticks), including special delivery, so about £9 less.. I am still checking up on the FSB speeds, thanks for the help.

Orobras - you might need to drop your asking prices for that memory mate. I've found somewhere that does 256Mb of quality PC2700 for less than £55!! memory chip market has collapsed - now is the time to buy cheap.

Not sure about the max speed specs for your board, but be careful you aren't confusing your memory FSB with your board FSB (cpu, pci, agp, etc). I think the manufacturers website or owners manual will tell you
Most machines will accept faster memory but wont allow the board FSB to match it - components tend to not like it!

I`m wondering whether I can fit a set of Corsair 256MB DDR XMS3500 Platinum CAS2 (MY-009-CS) (the fastest) into my KG7-RAID...cos I want to bump the FSB up as far as possible. I can reach 142Mhz, and I get Memory Read Errors (So I think my memory is not up to the task), with my PC2100 Samsung CAS2 memory, and I know that some people have got upto FSB 175Mhz with the same motherboard.
I don`t know whether PC3500 memory is the answer, but I want to give it a go. Will it damage the memory to put it in a 2100 machine? cos I know some higher grade memories are made to run at various speeds, and Corsair is supposed to be the best possible memory.
Or, am I barking up the wrong tree.....And if I can do this, does anyone want to buy two sticks of PC2100 256Mb memory (one Samsung CAS2, one Nanya CAS 2.5 - not to be mixed!!) for about £55 + P&P?? or £25 a piece + P&P??

an interesting thing with branded ram is that say you get 256mb pc2700 cas 2.5 you can change the clock to pc2100 cas 2.0

not too sure what a difference it will make but ive got corsair pc 3200 cas 2 on the way so looking at pc2700 cas 1.5 hopefully

Yeah for around a tenner they carnt be bad.I read a review for the theremal take geforce4 cooler it go a good review.But the crstal orb wont fit on the gef4 because of the different pin design to othercards and you can only fit crystal orb with some epoxy resin cooling stuff.So im probly getting one that gef4 coolers.

There's loadsa reviews out there on OC'ing the ti4600. As you want a Crystal Orb u probs know that Themaltake make it, they also do specific geforce 4 HSF.

Thanks but i was looking for some uptodate guides for overclocking on the web. Thanks i dont think i will be geting a heatspreader for RAM , where do you get heatspreaders for memory on your grafics card.Probley geting a ti4200 and a cryststal orb cooler and will be overclocking it.Se if i can get to speeds of a ti4400 or mabey even higher but unlikely any body overclocked them what did you get.

Also, check out the overclocking software thats out on the web (eg - powerstrip).

I'm sure if you look in some other overclockers forums you may find a post for a card similar to yours and how far they managed to o/c it - you may find it's not worth buying the memory cooling

Yeah you can get heat spreaders on Memory, not really worth it unless ur using intensive applications. I got Thermaltake's active memory cooling device, if u wanna know more check out www.thermaltake.com.

Does any of you know sites that have up to date guides on overclocking ddr memory.As I am going to get some samsung 33mhz ddr (had great reviews) and have got some idea but not too sure.Also do heatspreaders work on memory
