Roddy u posted a reply to a post of mine a minute ago, and have disabled PM so, the system is a custom built PC, I chose all the parts myself, every part, except for which brand IDE cable their gonna use in side the machine. I'm designing a PC for a friend, to meet her usage needs and price budget, the only on-board thing is the sound, which from having the mobo myself, I know is more than enough to accomplish what she wants to do. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is the fact that I sent Regency Computers an email 2 days ago and have received no reply, which is a little disappointing but as long as they've replied by Tuesday, I'll be happy.

Again, sorry to have interrupted you're thread.

graphics card fans

I've got one of the Zalman graphics cooloers on a Gainward Ti4600 and yes it does obscure the first pci slot. If you also use the flower cooler for the cpu, you can position the 120mm fan (variable speed) so that it directs the airflow over both heatsinks.

graphics card fans

Maplins definitely stock them, or you could try some online shops (particularly overclocking ones)

graphics card fans

Iv got a geforce 2, think its a 40mm fan? cant seem to find any new fns this size!

graphics card fans

No, it's not the Flower, that's the CPU cooler, and very nice too! (there's a gold-plated one on the Zalman website, btw. ) The graphics card cooler I was thinking of is the VGA FHS ZM17CU. There's an aluminium version, plus heatpipe models.

All sorts of exotic stuff here: http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/intro.htm

graphics card fans

Yeah they do - called the Zalman Flower.

Before you do any mods i'd check on the web to see how much faster the card can go - might be alot of money for only a few Mhz

graphics card fans

I haven't heard of copper fans for graphics cards, but I think Zalman do a big finned copper heatsink for them which actually replaces the card's own fan for noise reduction. You probably need good case cooling and circulation for it to work properly, and I'm not sure but the width of the thing might mean that you can't use the first PCI slot next to the AGP card. One to check out for quiet PC fanatics with a 6 PCI slot motherboard.

graphics card fans

Maplins do several types.

graphics card fans

im lookin 4 a new g/card fan, ne1 know where i can get 1?

graphics card fans

Never used them, but ive heard the Volcano series is ok.
Check out some overclockers websites to find out more

graphics card fans

The one i was thinking of was thermal take, any views on these?

graphics card fans

It will make some difference, but ultimately your o/c potential comes down to quality components on the card (especially memory chips)

graphics card fans

I have a GF4ti4600 and was wondering about putting one of those copper based fans made by someone or the other,do they make a diiference?
