Check them off on Msconfig.

Services must be set to manual via services.msc, msconfig disables them totally and if the system needs it, can't start it.

However, disabling services doesn't improve start-up times a huge amount. The time vs benefit, is minimal. However, feel free to try. It's always fun to play with things :)

(well....when you know what your doing  )

RE: speeding up start up

done the start up check, will check that link now.

cheers

RE: speeding up start up

http://www.ss64.com/ntsyntax/services.html try that...

RE: speeding up start up

Have you cleared the junk out of start-up items?
