Or set the programs you try to use to open in Administartor mode (It's in properties, to test if it helps, just right-click your application and click the "Open as Administrator".&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Vista isn't awful really. It takes a little time to learn your needs and then it will be quick once it's sorted Superfetch out.
