Funnily enough one day at work a woman told me the story of her son's XBox 360, which kept overheating. A good hour or so in the fridge and it would run for another ten minutes or so, apparently. I am assuming the family had Micro Chips for dinner most nights.

Reminds me of cooling my ZX81 by putting an ice pack on it.

Some great 'back to basics' tips, in the 'PC Emergency' article, but I really enjoyed the bit about cooling down hot, failing hard drives by sticking them in the fridge. ;)
(Sounds like a useful tip learned from very early Seagate server drives, that used to run so hot you could almost fry on them :))
