They are always good though :D I'm hoping they bring back the G4 (lamp style) iMac design one day that was just awesome.

I used to have MS Office but never used it so gave it away to a friend. Started using Pages but I just prefer the simplicity of TextEdit, it does what I need. Numbers is quite good though, some of the templates are quite handy.

What are you using your iMac for? I'm finding these days that a lot of what I do is online, so I don't need the fastest machine or most up to date. Although it's good for those times when you do need something with a bit of umph.

RE: Just bought myself an iMac

yeah think XP is the preffered rig for gaming - Vista takes my fancy only because ive been running it on my Mini. Think ill delay the purchase however as its not critical really.

im going to test Office 2008 tomorrow, been running it on my 1GHZ PowerBook and it runs like an absolute dog, so im hoping itll will run better on the iMac. :)

think i might get a MacBook next month following WWDC, i wonder if MM will cover WWDC at all? I wish I had one of the new iMacs, had an older G5 one before I got my MacBook.

Starting to realise me working in an Apple Store is going to mean I am permanently broke. I will probably blow my first wages on a new iMac :P

Is it worth putting Vista on at the moment? I thought XP was the prefered OS for gaming?

Just bought myself an iMac

24' iMac 2.4GHZ intel C2D 1GBRAM ATI Radeon HD2600

(image attached)

this things is beast!! bought it brand new today, the Mac Mini just wasnt up to the job. Been using it all afternoon, the migration assistant says it will take 14 hours to transfer everything over from my PowerBook so im tempted to transfer files manually as I dont need everything.

first thing im doing tomorrow is buying some more RAM for it, then I think ill install Vista HP 64 just to see how well it performs, plus i need to do some work in MS Access and *ahem* CoD4 :)

Pixel Kid, didnt you say you recently bought an iMac?
