| I know it sounds stupid but a usb network adapater connected to a computer can it then b made into an access point? Im just looking for a cheap option for my psp to use its online options and to surf the web in bed lol any help would be greatfully recieved

It depends if the psp is capable of connecting in "ad-hoc" wireless mode.
You'll also have to play with MS Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).

as far as i know the psp will connect on ad-hoc mode. but you should check this before you buy
but as dave said you will have to mess with the internet sharing setting in windows which i have found to be a pain in the ass and very tempermental. oh and this may seem simple but you will need to have to pc on all the time when you what to go on the internet on your psp, quite a few people forget that inclueding me from time to time. as i have my laser printer on my network connected to a pc as a print server.
