Cant find the right forum to put this in but it seems close enough

IM after a projector for my games in my room, having hooked my PC up to one i borrowed from my workplace i was literraly blown away and HAVE to get one! Games on my PC monitor just dont seem as amazing after playing on a 55" screen!

Ive spotted the BenQ MP610, which is around 450, with replacement lamps at around 100 quid, which i think is pretty good

Anyone had a chance to use one of these projectors?

ooo your going after a much wanted dream, i remeber in school in luved hooking mylaptop upto a wall projector for a blast on HL2 or NFS most wanted, phwar!

but with resopects to the projector, i just couldnt afford one myself but i found form using ones atschool, Brightness generally doesnt mater in a small rom as you can close curtains, to improve viewability, so 450 would seem a good price for a resonable one, so i say go for it ,

im going to! I took some shots. All ive done is resize them, no editing whatsoever. All taken at 5pm today:

with the curtains open

with the curtains closed

interweb with closed curtains, a familiar website there

picture is even better when it gets dark outside

The projector ive borrowed here is the NEC VT560, which is nice. Thing is, replacement lamps for it are over £200! , thats why the BenQ one seems so appealing! With £99 lamps!

I borrowed a projector about 4 years ago (Philips 800x600 - no good in daylight) and it was so noisy and put so much heat that I din't use it as much as I would have liked to.
