I took the test for my PC I want to Linux on first and it was Ubuntu/Fedora, which is pretty cool I must say as Ubuntu was my first choice for the machine, Fedora on the other hand I have only got Core One (I think its Fedora) with a book someone I know gave to me (some hefty book it is in that) but its pretty cool

Fedora Core 5 on a Pentium 500Mhz 256Mb 21Gb Voodoo3 3000 machine. (diolch logicman)
Dual booting: Ubuntu 6.06 and Kubuntu 6.06 on a AMD 2400xp 1Gb 80Gb ATi 9800Pro (diolch 900i)
Windows XP MCE on a Pentium 4 2.93Ghz 512mb ATi200 80Gb (hmpf)

Having dabbled with quite a few Distros' multi-booting more than one per PC using a Common /Home, Suse was my own first choice. I even voted for it in the poll.

However having recently suffered from the Suse 10.1, 'Suse Doesn't like the signatures of even Suse 10.0 official Cds' apparently they're 'bad', never mind the useful additional repositories. I've just installed Kubuntu.

The test came up with the results Debian, Mandriva and Kubuntu for me.

These are very differing Distros' both as to ease of installation, business model and release cycle.

So far I haven't broken Kubuntu, which with 19,419 'software packages' will probably keep me content for the longest.

Ubuntu or Mandriva.

Kubuntu didn't appear to due "linux knowledge", which seems a bit strange.

Wouldn't touch Mandriva, as have had bad experiences with it.

Already using Ubuntu, so there you go.

The test really depends on your answers, so could throw up just about anything.

Just installed Kubuntu and trying it out with a little (ok, a lot) of help from a friend at work.
this site gave me the answer of "Ubuntu and Mandriva" which i did consider, plumbed for Kubuntu as i was told it is one of the closer to "Windaz" distros available.

I think i made the right choice as i am having fun learning a heap of stuff i never needed to know with XP

Am loving the multiple desktop thing tho

DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-D (BIOS 06/23/2005)
AMD Opteron 146 @2850Mhz (CABNE)

Hmmmm...

I was suggested Ubuntu and Mandriva, fair enough.

But it also lists Kubuntu but says - Not suitable for Beginners ... EH?
