Came up with Ubuntu as first choice.

Which I already have installed, haha.

Nice tool there.
Gave me Debian/FC/Ubuntu which is fine as I run Ubuntu.

And it's about damn time I tried Debian lol. But the 5 disc or whatever put me off.

Interesting. It give me Fedora, Debian, ubuntu and kubuntu with Mandriva and OpenSuSE just one answer off. With that many it had to be right

It gave me Ubuntu.

Since I run Simply Mephis I guess it got it right.

I occasionally think about "upgrading" to RH4 - dont think I ever will tho, Im way too lazy.

It told me ubuntu, so I installed 6.06 and dist upgraded to 7.04.

working perfectly and less than 4 weeks til 7.10.

But I'm not going to early upgrade, as they screwed up the rt2500 drivers in April, and network manager was flawed.

This is what i get when i try to visit ;-;

kind of a shame i can't access the page =/ As I would have loved to have taken it~

I want to switch to linux/use it as often as i use windows, but i've never really had great success with finding the right distro.
Although~ i've always found Fedora to be rather fun \^^/ Which is what i have installed now.

I tried the link [http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/] and it comes to a blank page entitled 'internal server error'. Just in case they had moved the page, I also went to the main page at http://www.zegeniestudios.net and clicked the Linux distro chooser link from the menu bar. Unfortunately this yielded the same result. I'd advise that this pinned thread be temporarily taken down until zegeniestudios fix their site, so forumites don't waste their time. It could be put back up when they have the service working again.

Many Thanks John

OpenSuse is really quite good for people new to Linux, it was the first distro I properly started using. The test is pretty accurate, it came up with Suse, Fedora and Mandriva, which are all the distros I have used and been happy with. I might have a look at Mandriva 2008 now that it's available, and see what it can do...

The box said 'Requires Windows 95 or better'. So I installed LINUX.
