Thanks for replies and interesting discussion, while i was in the land of nod,

It appears it was originally supplied by BT. I just typed in 'http://192.168.1.1/' into internet explorer, and it doesn't find anything.

Sooo, i guess that means it is locked out to BT only, on the Voyager. Am i right in guessing it is being used for wireless duties only, and somehow sharing the desktops internet connection.

In 'Network connections' on the desktop pc, there is a Network Bridge set-up, which includes the BT2091 and a MAC Bridge Miniport.

Anyway, i've used all the same settings as the laptops [except giving my pc a different address] and i'm connected to the network, so i assume the WEP Network Key i've used is correct, but no internet access for me. My pc seems to send packets, but not receive any at all.

hope that helps a little.

cheers si

Assuming the other laptops are working OK, then the IP arrangements are correct.
Therefore you should be able to ping the default gateway as they can.

I still reckon you need to look at your WEP / WPA key.

What I mean is be sure you have typed the WEP (or WPA) code in correctly.
Disconnect your XP box from the network and reconnect.
It should ask you for the security key again.
