AOL are doing my head in with there FUP i,m only getting half a meg on a 8 meg connection. Ok i watch a lot of online video,s i don,t use peer 2 peer. I phoned them up and asked them what is considered fair usage and they would not give me an answer. I very rarely use it at peek times. I feel i am paying top dollar ie Platinum for a service i am not getting. Moreover this stinks of censorship. The only real use for broadband in my opinion is for media if you can,t use it for media what,s the point of broadband. I may as well go back to the bad old days of metered dial up which this is turning into

that does not sound like FUP, FUP would reduce you to 56k dialup speeds.

Moreover this stinks of censorship.

Well, this feels like necroposting, but how so? Where does censorship come into it?

It is the AOL FUP.

You'd get 56k if you were with Tiscali

Leaving AOL asap won,t let me watch video,s no it,s not pron google or stage 6 mostly docu. Stage 6 is a bit of a bandwith grabber because of the quality much better that flash. I,ll find someone who will let me watch video,s online and not bitch about it. Denying you information or bandwith is censorship in my book. That,s what your,e paying for so you have free access to any info you want whatever it is whenever you want not when they say so. When is unlimited not unlimited when,s it AOL unlimited

If you use a lot of bandwidth.. £20/m package with www.adsl24.co.uk should give you no problems.

Obviously you'll have to take a look around at reviews and stuff because I can't testify to the quality of the service at all. Take a look at other entanet resellers too. You can't win with an FUP though, the only thing you can do is vote with your feet.

The 20 pound package looks great i don,t use it much peak time so the limit won,t bother me. I,m stuck with AOL cause they won,t let out of my contract unless i buy it out (sic). I,ve been with them for 4 years ever since carphone shithouse took over bad bad **** roll on April.
