AOL were doomed when carphone warehouse took over. My opinion is that carphone warehouse (talk talk) are ripping their customers off with ill advised selling of their services. I wouldn't go anywhere near them, they can keep there so called free tel calls to themselves! Also through past experience through a couple of mates of mine you end up paying more than what you were with BT for your calls!!!
So, in other words DO NOT be tricked into anything related to carphone warehouse! you'll regret it!!!
Poppycock. I know at least half a dozen people who have migrated to TalkTalk in the last 12 months and every one of them are perfectly happy. I'm one of them! I've never been charged more than I expected.

| It's hard to generalise broadband, as in my area I know a few TalkTalk customers who have been having trouble, however as Jason states he and other forum members are perfectly happy with their TalkTalk connections. ADSL24 will be great if you want to avoid FUPs, it's quite cheap and it is based on a 1 month minimum contract. ADSL24 also do VoIP solutions too.. Of course, if Be is available in your area you should have a look at that too. :-)

I agree with Jason.
Just had my highest bill ever from TalkTalk - £25 and that's for all phones calls 24/7, line rental and BB 5 times faster than BT could manage.
The only reason it's higher than the usual £20.49 is because we had to ring the Nintendo helpline quite a few times.
Unbeatable deal IMO.

Just about free of AOL just changing over in the next couple of days so going with ADSL24 definitely looks the best i am paying 17.99 as it is so 2 more is no great strain . I hope this sorts out this debacle i,m in all i ever wanted was what it said on the tin. They don,t sell you a tin of biscuits and say all we can give you is 1/2 now if you wait till after midnight we might give you some more. ISP,s should be taken to court for misleading advertising. I think it is becoming more and more important to read the terms and conditions see what your,e actually getting. But then again you need to speak jungalese a language known only to laywers and isp,s and have a microscope ready to read the small print
