The way I set up my home hub that I got free for renewing my subscription to BT was to receive it in the post, take a picture of it, and put it on a 3 day auction. wrap it in brown paper and send it off to someone else. my 3 year old linksys wifi router does loads more than those 'orrible home hubs (styling over content anyone)!

Wish I could do that, we got a home hub and I hate it. Its so UNintuitive and such a pain to set up. Unfortunatley its my dads broadband and his view is "its better becuase its newer".
Ho-hum.

| Surely all you need to do is wave your MCDST cert in his face and instruct him on what he needs for his network. Have you got your welcome kit yet?

You'll probably find that whatever router it is that you have it is newer than the guts of a BT Homehub. I can't remember where I read this, but apparently the guts of a BT homehub is an old Thompson router that just has different firmware, and oddly, wasn't much cop either.......

we've got a homehub @ my mums house, can't grumble really!
it works very well!
great range, looks half decent and it seems secure.
only had it a few weeks so we will see...
