Hi i picked up this weeks issue on the front it said "Motherboards from just £56" "group test inside". Now im in the middle of specing up a new system and thought oh good i can compare a few MOBO's and see if there are any new developments, that sort of thing.

When i get to the article ">This week Leo is taking a look at five Phenom motherboards." Now Im all deflated. I was expecting an open group test including Intel chipsets. I realise that it cuts both ways and I was making an assumption, But come on guys how hard woold it have been to put the word Phenom in front of group test on the front page ?

In addition, there was one at £56, the rest being above £110. Not a good title for the article, more like a Ryanair advert.

That's one of my biggest pet hates with the mag. It's unfair doing a group test where some of the items are two or three times the price of others. The budget items don't get much of a chance to win as they don't have the features of the high end items.

But that's it Tip, this motherboard nearly did. But the difference of £50+ apparently isn't a draw

I'm totally sick & tired of the continual reviews of motherboards & graphics cards - it's every other week nearly.

Have you considered switching to Radio Times or Womans Weekly? Neither of those magazines contains boring reviews of motherboards... or anything else much that's computer related. Micro Mart on the other hand is a COMPUTER MAGAZINE.

True, but a computer and it's associated peripherals are made up of more than just a motherboard and graphics card. Believe it or not, they are a bit more complicated than that
