BIOS update fixed my RAM instability problems when I had 4 sticks of 1GB ram installed overclocked quite heavily. This was on a PK5-E but I'd give it a go.

| my ram is on auto 1/1,with 4 4 4 12 2.2v and its stable at 794mhz but blue screens at 800mhz,the ram is rated for these low timings so i dont know whether its faulty ram or my mobos playing up(p5kc and ram problems, googles full of em) at the moment im 5 5 5 12 on auto voltage at 400fsb which runs nice however i would like the ram to do what it says on the tin.it wont do 800mhz without bsod,im trying to find out if anything(transaction booster) could be pushing the ram to far before i rma or blow it the hell up.thanks for reply steveori and my boy wont let me change his xbox connection to your guide the skanky sod. warm regards

| your probably right about the ram,its running fine on 5 5 5 12 timings and il loosen these up more when i take the e6750(try to) to 3.4ghz,at 5 5 5 12 ive already beaten my best pi score so i should be happy.my boy is fed up with 1)me breaking and fiddling with his pc 2)me being in his room a lot(as a teenager he wants privacy, ahem) 3)he doesnt want the pc on all the time when the xbox is on,as for sorting him out i wish u luck, hes 6ft 2 and has been boxing for 5 years so hes a handful even for me(not his mother though).i might get my way soon though as hes aware just who buys his xbox toys and his pc upgrades.ive read on google that ocing is addictive and im finding that out myself,it must be a mans thing to want to squeeze every last drop of performance out of his equipment and i dont think i can stop myself from raising my fsb just a tad more.thanks for replying. warm regards

Just keep an eye on your temps if your going to push it up more!
you'll notice much better performance from tighter timings as opposed to higher ram speed!
cheers

I'm pretty sure I've disabled the transaction booster on mine, I believe I read it somewhere that it can sometimes cause issues. Next time I reboot I will double check.
