Hello All.

A friend of mine recently purchased a E-System EI3103 and wants to put it onto a wireless network. It is running on Microsoft Vista and they have purchased a NetGear WG111t adapter to try and connect it with. Now these adapters are not brilliant but they should work. They rang Sky up for whom the router belongs to and they gave up trying to get the laptop to connect to the internet wirelessly.

So my question is can anyone share some advice on how to do it. Ive looked on Google and found a few things but none of these have worked thus far.

Many regards.

I've set up a wireless connection with a laptop by wiring it first

Make sure you have turned off any firewall software on the laptop before you try and connect to the wireless router.

Also make sure that ssid broadcast is turned on in the router settings and that any Mac filtering and encryption is turned off until you get a connection.

Cheers,

Whiskey.
