Hi,

Could anyone help me with router set up for wanadoo broadband please?

My neighbourgh has a usb speed touch modem but has had no internet for a couple of weeks now.

I want to try my router for his connection but don't know what setting to use, all he has is a username and password.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

That was the same as mine....line not sync'd to modem.....get them to sort it out. It was why I left Tiscali....had no connection for 3/4 weeks. If he is sure nothing else is causing it (bad connection) plug system straight into BT socket with adsl filter, get company to check line (ring back/out) same result and it's ISP problem. Strange thing is when I eventually got a steady light, still couldn't find a connection, but after running a 56k dial up modem, getting that working, then switched off but left connected, the broadband modem worked fine...crazy....

You got to be persistant.....I checked (online) my recent phone calls and for 0845 nos, found I'd spent 6hours 55mins total on the phone. Regarding the router, don't know much about the setups but noticed the one above the phone no 0.38 is disabled....maybe should be enabled, think it should automatically search for a connection.....
