hi,
you may have a bit of trouble with your dell, not 100% sure but i think they lock the bios down.
overclocking through windows may be your only option.

| you will have to go the software overclocking route from within windows. i have a dell precision 650 running an Xeon 2.4ghz cpu, there is absolutely nothing to change in the bios. All you have in there is boot order and unboard devices. try here http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?http://www.ocinside.de/html/links/ocsoft_links.html good luck !!

| You wont be able to do anything with a Dell dimension by any means, no software will work on it and the only way to change it is to buy a new case/PSU and mobo. I had a Dell dimension E520 and in order to overclock it i had to replace it. The remains of my Dell are in my sig, It cost me £120 but its at 3.6ghz instead of 2.8ghz so its a bargain, its also now upgradable which Dimensions are not. warm regards
