First off I know this shouldn't work and it really didn't want to, but I got it on in the end!

As always I took off the default cooler, which I'd already modified a bit beforehand.

Then I had to clean everything, and remove the GPU shroud around the IHS.

Next off was the IHS itself!

I used a stanley knife blade and a small hammer, slipped it under one corner and popped off the IHS.

The VF900 fits fine using the holes meant for the GPU shroud, but the RHS88 RAM cooler didn't have the required holes for this plan

Out comes the hacksaw, I remove the offending parts of RHS88, and file it smooth.

Bolted together, running dead silent, and cooler than ever!

I had already optimized the stock heatsink, by blocking the pointless holes, and replacing the thermal paste with Zalman STG-1, but it still idled at 60C for GPU temp.

With my hand crafted heatsinks on it, it idles at 40C !!

It took about 3 hours to cut and shape the RHS88 to size, but it is well worth it.

The offcut parts from the RHS88 I cut into 4 pieces and lapped smooth, then stuck them onto the Vitec VRM chips on the 8800GTS, just to be safe!

It was great fun, but I would seriously recommend spending the extra notes and getting a ZF1000 instead!

Of course you also need the RHS88, which is another £15, so the total cost would be just under £50 !
