heh..my .Mac expired recently, I was about to renew..then I saw the price. I didnt renew in the end. Absolutely ridiculous price, "Back to my Mac" is very handy but not essential

I think it depends what you use .Mac for, I had it for website hosting and it actually worked out at an average price when split over 12 months. Obviously that was minus PHP/SQL type backend stuff. But when I packed the site in I didn't renew either. I miss my @mac email address though!
The revamp sounds like just what it needs, .Mac has been a kind of thing that you don't really need for a while they should beef it up and make it a must have.

Now this is interesting.
It seems Apple is likely to announce OSX 10.6, codenamed Snow Leopard, at WWDC. It's said to be Intel-only, and released to address stability and performance issues rather than add new features.
I hope Apple's not about to charge for material which should by rights be freely downloadable as OS updates, but branding 10.6 as a new 'Leopard' would suggest otherwise. It's not as if they've run out of big cats. We haven't even had a 'Lion' yet.

I hope it's called Ocelot

Buying software from us [Microsoft] is like buying a music CD. You have the right to play the music, but you don’t “own” the music – the artist does. When you buy Microsoft software, you actually buy a licence that gives you the right to use the software.

The Apple store is down, which is a sure sign they're adding new products...

Wouldn't it be smarter to actually find out if it's worth buying first? Or is that applying logic where none exists?

hmmmmm well
i spent alot on my iPhone at launch, and i love it. so new iPhone with 3G is a bit of a no-brainer really seeing as i like the UI and i know (even before it launches) that the only significant difference will be 3G... so logic kinda does it for me.
phone i like + 3g = purchase
