I absolutely *love* the sound of the Commodore's SID chip. I've been making music on it with Cynthcart for a while now. Has anyone on the MM forums ever made some 8-bit music? I'm tempted to move on to some Game Boy chip tunes pretty soon, however tracking down a legit LSDJ cart is pretty impossible, phooey

@ stacy

Hi Stacy and welcome to the forum - ignore 10p to follow, most of the rest of us are friendly, if slightly odd.
(Incidentally, you're not really Sarah of the Dead's Mum are you? - forum joke, ask her about it)

@10p - check a few facts out before you write pointless insults - like her blog and the fact that she is one of MM's and Den of Geek's occasional freelancers.

By the way, have you checked out the SIDstation? It's pretty funky if you like the SID chip. It's given rise to a whole new load of metal called SID Metal, and Machinae Supremacy are one of the bands at the forefront of it. I think they're fairly expensive though.

Yes. Yes I am a 55 year old man. My website is indeed fictitious and I am indeed too good to be true.

@FreakShow
Incorrect linkage And also, which manga is featured on your sig? It looks like the Love Hina/Azumanga Daioh/Fruits Basket style.

@BJM
Thank you very much I'm a bit of an oddball myself, I look forward to geeking with the leet

I haven't heard of such a thing...not until I look it up on Wikipedia in the next few minutes, anyway. It sounds pretty awesome! A shame it costs so many pennies though
