i have been given the full set of star trek films on vhs.......all in great condition, i want to copy them to dvd for my own use

so i can put the tapes away and leave them in good condition.

can anyone suggest a decent capture card that will allow me to do this? either internal or external?

im not worried about computer specs cause most of my rigs are upto it.

thanks.

moderators if you feel im talking illegally please delete or remove thread.

I get mega confused at the laws now, but I'm sure you can backup your own Videos and Dvd fior your own use??

I have just asked a similar question about Dvd backups I want to do.

But I also want to do what you are wanting for my camcorder home movies.

I used AVS DVD player in Vi$ta. It seems to have a Rip feature, but I have not tried to use that.
Google for it, it may be what you require.

Please ignore my ramblings here. I had a bad fall earlier and my brains became rather muddled. I seem to have answered the wrong question.
