| hi all can you help? i've got a pc setup on virgin cable broadband upstairs but a nintendo wii downstairs. i've been given a netgear dg834g wireless adsl router will this router let me connect to the wii? or does it have to be specific cable internet wireless router? i've tried setting it up -cable to modem - modem to router - router to pc and the internet still works on the pc. But how do you change any security settings as the pc doesn't seem to know its there? the wii does detect the netgear wireless router but wont' connect. thanks gazbut

| You need a proper cable router, an ADSL one is no use. The virgin modem has to be plugged into the WAN port of the router for it to route. You'll have it plugged in one of the 4 LAN ports and only one machine will work because the cable modem can only issue one IP address.
