Just been looking at the Acer Aspire One as my new cheap laptop and am a bit confused about why this version HERE, which as far as I can tell is exactly the same apart from 512 less RAM as this ONE, is even being offered.

I know moneys is tight now a days but whats the point?

Just been looking at some YouTube reviews.
What an excellent way to research something like this!
Don't know why I didn't think of it before.

Looks very very user friendly.
I can see my missus being able to use this straight away, she still struggles with Windows.
Webcam is amazing seeing as it's only 0.3mp.
You just wouldn't appreciate any of this from a paper review.
Best review IMO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf0A6b_wZZM&NR=1

EDIT link doesn't seem to work, it's called "Hands on with the Acer Aspire one"

Link works fine for me Dave.

Looks like a nice machine, seems a little bit sluggish though compared to the Eee 701 (mine does have 1 GB of ram).

PC Spit have them in stock for £249 and you can get a special offer on Norton 360 for £29.99!

How many unwary people are going to fall into that trap?

Idiots...

It wouldnt be so bad if it actually did something (apart from slowing a pc down) ive never seen such a bad piece of software for a long time.
