Even as a Gnome convert i have to admit that KDE4 looks very sexy, from the screenshots i have seen of it. Although i have read a lot of FUD about instability, functionality and the fact that it seems generally quite an unfinished release. It would be good to hear a few positives about it for a change.

4.1 is out now, I believe, more stable, more eyecandy without compiz, more apps ported, seems to be going well.
I am still using 3.5, and I am not keen on the Slab menu system, but I expect that can be turned off.

Can't abide earlier KDE versions, but I really like a lot of the K apps.
Haven't tried KDE4.1 yet, there's no point, Gnome does everything I need perfectly well.

As an enthusiastic KDE 3 user who has tried KDE 4 I'm probably going to switch to Fluxbox, Enlightenment or IceWM rather than upgrade.

One of the Linux mags is carrying a copy of Suse 11.0 which is a live KDE 4.0 version, and it works very well.
For those with a reasonable broadband link it's downloadable from here: http://software.opensuse.org/
Just fill in the Live CD button and pick KDE4 version.
The Live Cd seems very smooth.
