| I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have GeForce 7300 card in a ASUS A8V-VM SE motherboard running Ubuntu 8.04, the problem is my screen resolution at best is 640X480 @ 50Hz. I am using the Nvida accelerated graphics diver (latest cards) from Synaptic Package Manager, which is no better then the standard drivers. Is there a way to increase my screen resolution with better drivers, and where can I get them. Thanks Fuzzy-Felt Bloke

Have you set the screen resolution up in system/Administration/Nvidia xserver settings?

Could you tell us the native/intended resolution and refresh rate? And if you could paste or attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file that would be a big help too.

| Just messed about with 'Recovery Mode' from startup and altered dpkg. Screen resolution is OK, but ended up with US keyboard layout! Will do for now. Thanks for advice and help offered. Fuzzy-Felt Bloke
