| Hi folks Using wxp pro and office 2003.. Have a lot of photo's to sort daughters wedding/holidays that sort of thing ( before she finds out that i aint done them yet). The original naming process is now a no brainer . is there a simple way of renaming them using the word 2003 application in blocks without the renaming of each one individually. all help gratefully recieved. sparks

Don't know about Word, but Irfanview lets you do batch renaming, as well as converting, and is free. As always, backup before trying a new program though, especially with wedding pics!

fast and easy way select them all and right hand click on one of them and rename call it what ever you want and the rest will also be renamed for example if i called the picture
test
the rest would be
test(1)
test(2)
test(3)
test(4)
etc etc

The only downside there is, no leading zeros. e.g. You would get test(1), test(10), test(11) etc. Irfanview can put them in
