just upgraded, its ok, running smooth on full settings, just a few things bug me, 1 the pop ups asking me if i want to do stuff ive already clicked on & where is the RUN option on the START button. i want to be able to run msconfig, msinfo etc like on XP.

How do i get to MSCONFIG on vista to stop all the quicklaunch crap

And try Tweak VI, it allows all sorts of configuration malarky http://www.totalidea.com/content/tweakvi/tweakvi-down.php

If you feel confident, turn off UAC too.

Windows key + R is a shortcut to getting the run box - that would be the easiest way of getting there

yeh ill do all that thanx for the info genuine people, but for the others anything else you can advise me to infect my puter with?

Start button, type Run, msconfig.

do you think ill be downloading all your crap if i knew what MSCONFIG was for in the first place? who are you?!
