Downloaded relevant codecs but refuses to play? Help?

What are "relevant codecs"? Have you installed medibuntu repository? You need at least dvdcss2 to view encoded dvds.

I use VLC for DVD playback on hardy heron and it works perfectly.

I have tried them all and none work. I have also installed libdvdcss.

Thanks. I have installed all that sort of thing but followed your guide to be sure. Now I get:

The source seems encrypted, and can't be read. Are you trying to play an encrypted DVD without libdvdcss?

libdvdcss is installed?
