I also have Be, it took about 10 days for my connection to settle down.

It's there own make. Doesn't seem like a bad one. Run Shields Up on it and no detections so it's not to bad.
Wireless is fine now and the web seems blisteringly fast from our old house 2Mb VM connection

My O2 router is a Thompson (maker is hidden somewhere on bottom), it works fine, but not very stylish. A Dark Grey box, circa 1990's.

I appear to be on ADSL2+ so maybe thats why I have a newer one? I have Wireless Box 2 according to the top. And I get the feeling, it's the same as Marten's.

Did you go with O2 or Be? Could be slightly different models.
