| Hi all, We currently use Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 and connect to our internet through a Draytek DSL router. I'm trying to configure a new Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO router onto our network. I have plugged the wireless router into the network socket in my office and plugged my computer into the router using the supplied RJ45 cable. The default gateway for this router is 192.168.2.1, which should bring up a configuation page so I can alter the pass keys and SSID; however it just as 'Page Cannot Be Displayed'. I did an ipconfig and it shows that the actual gateway for the router is correct. I have checked the firewall settings and all seems to be ok. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? Edit: I can connect to the server, internet and everything else via this wireless router...although I need to access the configuation page to add a pass as it's leaving my network wide open!

| Its possible that the default configuration port has been changed from port 80 to another port. Thats why you can contact the router, and it works, but you cant access the config page. you will be trying http://192.168.2.1 but you will have to try some other ports by adding :portnumber to the end. Some common ports are 8000, 8001, 8080 ie http://192.168.2.1:8000 etc You could also download advanced lan scanner, and see which ports are open on the router. There one final possibilty, and thats that its been totally locked down, and there is no access at all via web interface. This is quite common with this router, ive seen this happen before, and its to stop people messing with it.

| Are you going to use this as well as or instead of the Draytek? If it's as well as you're in for trouble. Having two routers in your network is a nightmare, and I think you're finding this out. Try unplugging the WAN port from your existing network so that it is "stand alone". My guess is you'll then be able to access the configuration page OK. If you have bought it to add wireless capability to your network and you want to still us the Draytek, then you have bought the wrong product. You only need an access point, not a router. It may however be possible to disable the router and DHCP functions and turn the Belkin into an access point only - RTFM. If you intend to replace the Draytek then configure the Belkin off the network before swaping it out.
