Finished a WU on the Vmware server (running Ubuntu) last night and can't connect to the F@H servers. Can't connect to the internet from the VM either.

Can anybody post their VM network settings so I can try re-setting mine. I've been poking this thing with a stick for hours and my settings are all over the place. As is my head!

Mike

I'm not currently running VMWare but here is a screen shot which may help. Can you access the internet with Firefox if not it's the intranet settings which is being shown.

does shuttingthe vm down and restarting the vm  get the network connection back?.  and/or a complete reboot

Cheers,

Keith.

Fuzzy, one of the settings I tried looks exactly like your screen shot, but still no dice. Can't access the internet at all from the VM. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Keith, tried shutting down and re-starting the VM and re-booted PC, still the same "can't connect to servers"

I'd rather not re-install the VM and lose the WU. Is there a way of sending the WU outside the VM i.e. via the host machine.

John Barry used to save his work on a USB, and send it to someone else, who would then send it to F@H, try a PM to him.

Cheers Fuzzy - or should that be Mr Felt-Bloke? If I can't sort this out I'll talk with John.

Thanks again.

Mike

PS. Yeah Chris, it could be a pretty big file.
