Hi all,
Recently built a website for some friends using Webplus X2, however need a good freebie program that they can use to edit the sites content with afterwards.
I found Webplus SE a free cut down version, but cant get it to open the original X2 site files, or import plain html pages without upgrading to a paid version.
Does anyone know how to import into SE, or know of a good simplistic alternative?

Notepad
It's by far the easiest way and means you dont run the risk of your chosen program ripping your HTML apart.
If you put some comments in the code where they should edit then it will work fine (that is what I usually do for clients like that)
Something like
<!-- your content starts here -->
Some text here...
<!-- end of this section -->
Otherwise you might like to look into a CMS system (such as Joomla) or something even lighter like (err forgotten it's name I'll dig out the link) which lets YOU add html to a design and them to add the content.
If you really do want a WYSIWYG editor there are plenty of free ones out and about. I haven't got any links off hand but I'll dig some out. Try hunting on Sourceforge and similar sites for some Open Source editors (they are usually ok).

Hi Tom,
Sorry for the delay in posting back.
Ended up just paying Serif for another copy of Webplus (discounted down to £40) my friends company was happy to pay & it just puts us all in the same boat.
Many thanks for the advice re Joomla etc, will certainly look into that for anything else i do!

I read what people said in the this page, i dont think notpad is a really good idea its too risky to use notpads, it can totally damage your web

? I dont follow the logic there.
I suppose you mean that you could mess up the html code a bit and thus mess up the formatting. But as long as your simply updating content (i.e. editing set sections) then it will be fine 
WYSIWYG editors are actually more likely to mess up the code
