GoblinX is a truly interesting distro. If you burn the Standard ISO live cd then at boot you have the choice of just about every major desktop environment except Gnome. It has KDE, Enlightenment, Flubox, XFCE or Window Maker.
The iso is only just over 300MB but packs an awful lot in.
