Hi

I've lost my copy of Win95 and been on ebay to see if I can get hold of a new copy. Now there seem to be OEM copies, which I do not understand as I'm sure a copy of Win 95 can be installed on any number of computers (not that I will) as online registration is not required, therefore it can not be tied to 1 PC, or have I missed something. What do I get if I buy a Win95 OEM.

Thanks

the oem pack of win 95 comes as a cd, booklet with the key, and sometimes a floppy disk with cdrom drivers on it (if memory serves me right) its been a while since i used '95
It just comes shrink wrapped rather than in a flashy box if it were a retail pack..

Oh, and i believe, legally, you are still tied to the one machine.... but as you don't activate it as such, & its no longer supported

Wouldn't it be smarter to at least consider Windows 98? Then at least USB will work correctly.

I have a collection of old computers, and would like to revisit Win95, also my Win98 is an upgrade requiring an earlier Win version.

There's always this on the Windows 95 CD:

For completeness: Win95 was also available exclusively on floppies also.
